Hearing Tests
We know it is possible to take an online hearing test, but we believe there is no substitute for a comprehensive face-to-face (safe) assessment. We feel it is the only way to ensure accuracy and lay the foundation for any fitting of hearing aids. In addition to testing how well you hear sounds (necessary to create your prescription), we also assess how well you process speech to determine the appropriate level of hearing aid technology for you and to ascertain whether you would benefit from any additional assistive listening devices. Our services are available in-branch or as a home visit.
Ear Wax Removal
We understand the frustration that comes with a blocked ear. Rather than waiting for a potentially lengthy NHS referral (which can take 6 months or more) for earwax removal, we take pride in offering a swift resolution. Based on our experience, using Earol to soften the wax can be a crucial step when preparing for a visit to our branch or a home visit. Over the years, we have received recommendations from several local GPs and pharmacies, with pricing starting from only £39, including a complimentary hearing screen. We also provide a free £0 ear examination service for those who are unsure whether they have a blocked ear. Please note that any missed or canceled appointments within 24 hours will incur a £25 charge.
